Mediocre performance
My guess is that they are exhausted from touring - and whoever selects the songs appears to believe that repeating the same process repeatedly will be effective. The song selection, though, was the usual - nothing new. The addition of the bag-pipes was nice, and the voices are truly remarkable. The violin playing is simply phenomenal. I have observed Angine De Poitrine perform around six or seven times. This was their FIRST visit to Winston-Salem, and their 21st trip to North Carolina. I believe this exceptional group should take a break for a year, rest, and explore the wide variety of music at their disposal. If things remain unchanged the next time they visit my region, I will take a hiatus.
